Music video debut from Chicago-based singer/songwriter/jazz trumpeter, Sam Trump,
whose self-produced EP was first featured on FRSH SLCTS (http://FRESHselects.net) last year.
Following up on that, we have the premiere of “Daydreaming” -
the title track from his forthcoming album w/ Portland, OR producer G_Force AKA Calvin Valentine
(who has previously produced albums for Planet Asia, Illmaculate, and his own group TxE).
While simultaneously holding down successful stints in numerous groups -
including the live multi-genre band, Sidewalk Chalk,
the Chicago x Oregon rap conglomerate, Fang Tshida (more on them coming soon),
& a handful of others -
Sam is still very much pushing along as a solo artist as well,
w/ “Daydreaming” being just another well-placed step towards his surely bright future.

Five albums deep in the game,Rick Ross has seperated from Def Jam Records to start his own label Maybach Music Group in 2008. The Roster includes some impressive names,such as: Wale,Pill and Meek Mill just to name a few. All three of those artists I’ve just mentioned have made the critically acclaimed XXL Freshman list. The label has just started to lose its training wheels and finally began to take off and in my opinion is already one of the superior labels/teams in the game. Theres a variety of styles when it comes to MMG from the eratic,unpredictable flow of Meek Mill,to the soulful singing of Masspike Miles,to the poetic rhymes of Wale,to the funk rock/rap hybrid style of Lupe Fiasco,to the hardcore/street/gangster rhymes of the boss,Rick Ross,theres music for many audiences. The team is expected to drop a compilation “SelfMade” MAYbach 24th,this is heavily anticipated in the streets,be on the lookout! -You heard this from Nick
