R.E.K.S. (RHYTHMATIC ETERNAL KING SUPREME) WILL BE RELEASED ON MARCH 8th, 2011 ON SHOWOFF/BRICK RECORDS
Before the Grey Hairs, REKS was just a teenager who fell in love with the Hip-Hop movement. Little did he know, one day he would experience working with and alongside some of those legendary hip-hop icons. Born Corey Isiah Christie in Lawrence, Massachusetts, August 24th, 1977, REKS practically grew up with Hip-Hop. He first embraced the culture by becoming a break-dancer with Funk Town Connection (FTC), competing all over the city of Lawrence, Massachusetts. The legendary Rap styles of KRS-One, Slick Rick, and Ice Cube inspired him to pick up the mic and he started writing rhymes at a very young age. Soon thereafter, REKS began gaining notoriety in his hometown through cipher battles and memorable stage performances. After high school, REKS enrolled at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. With a “Kanye West” drive and mentality, REKS decided to drop out of college after one year to pursue his dream and music career full-time.

50 Cent shuts down Worldstarhiphop
Rapper 50 Cent sent a tweet out to his 3,888,543 million followers and took credit for shutting down popular urban website, WorldstarHipHop.com.
The site went down without warning earlier today (January 24th).
Just moments ago, 50 Cent took to Twitter and took credit for the site’s disruption, squashing rumors that the site was seized by Homeland Security, like several other websites in November of 2010.
“I don’t know why people underestimate me. I just shut down WORLDSTAR for future advertising contact thisis50.com suckers lol,” 50 Cent tweeted. “I put worldstar to bed, you don’t believe try me I will shut your sh*t down. Lol.”
In November of 2009, 50 Cent filed a lawsuit against the website, claiming his image and content was used on the website without permission.
“I have lawyers on retainers and I have to pay them so much money anyway, so we’ll go back and forth to court until (they) can’t afford a Subway sandwich,” 50 Cent said in 2009. “It’s already too late for (them).”

Newly signed Shady Records artist Yelawolf has reflected on his deal with Eminem and what fans can anticipate from him in the future.
Yela said his Shady deal was kept on the low since mid-2010.
“Keeping quiet was the hardest sh*t in the world, honestly. I was just so excited for a while. And everyone from my team who did know was really responsible about not letting it out. But I met with Eminem about four to five months ago in Detroit. [Manager] Paul [Rosenberg] and Em flew me and my manager out to just kick it and get acquainted. From that meeting, I had no idea it would turn into this situation. I remember Paul was asking me about the meth problem in Alabama and I told him that I wrote ‘Pop The Trunk’ based off that issue. Next thing I know, Em starts rapping some of my lines from the song. I can’t even describe how that felt, I actually got super nervous. Em’s a real hip-hop fan, he knows about everything that’s going on.” (www.VIBE.com)

Grammy-winning singer Usher has confessed his desire to create a new music genre dubbed “Revolutionary Pop”.
While declining to specify his master plan, Usher did hint at what inspired his revolution.
Making little sense, Usher recently said that he is creating a new genre of music called “Revolutionary Pop,” which apparently inspired him to style his hair in a fauxhawk. “I’m working on a new genre of music — Revolutionary Pop — which combines several music genres to create a new sound experience,” said the R&B singer. “I love that people are talking about the new hair, it represents who I am now and the creative movement of Revolutionary Pop.”
