nets logo1 Brooklyn Nets New Logo Unveils New Logo And Colors Designed by Jay Z

The Brooklyn Nets new logo and colors were revealed. The new logo was designed by Jay-Z, who is part owner of the Brooklyn Nets. A lot of people do not like the colors for the Brooklyn Nets. But I think Jay-Z is very intelligent for going with the vintage black and white. You’ll be able to wear the hats and shirts with just about anything. Also, it reminds you of the Rucker Park uniforms. It gives that streetball appeal to the NBA, while still giving the classic, vintage feel. No team in the NBA ever had black and white uniforms.  The logo doesn’t blow you away, but I’m feeling the black and white selection.  Good move by Jay-Z, MJ should take notes shotout to the Bobcats ha ha.

Here’s a picture of the Secondary Logo.

NBA 2012 Playoff Bracket

by Rgeezy on 04/27/2012

NBA 2012 Playoff Bracket 3 500x372 NBA 2012 Playoff Bracket

Here’s my NBA 2012 Bracket!! Let’s be clear, I ride or die with the Celtics, so it kills me picking the Lakers. But, I can’t see the Celtics beating the Heat. Matter of fact, I can see any team in the East beating them. Most people have the Lakers losing to the Thunder, but I think Bynum will be the key. If Bynum plays like he has been playing all season, then the Lakers can win it all. Gasol must play at a high level also.

I really would like to see Lebron shut the critics up!! But I think the length of the Lakers may be a problem for the Heat. My heart wants the Heat to win, but my gut telling me the Lakers. I’m going with my first mind and my gut. I got Kobe winning his 6th ring this year, which will make him tied with Jordan. We shall see….

mayewathercotto Mayweather Vs Cotto : Who Will Win? (Prediction)

One of the most anticipated fights will happen this year Floyd Mayweather vs Miguel Cotto. Floyd Mayweather will face Miguel Cotto on Cindo de Mayo, May 5, 2012. I am really looking forward to this fight. Miguel Cotto is back at the top of his game, but Mayweather is still undefeated and does not show a chink in his armor. Who will win? Will Miguel Cotto be the first man to solve the riddle of defeating Floyd “Money” Mayweather?

55435324 mayweathergetty Fight Discussion: Did Floyd Mayweather Cheat To Win Against Victor Ortiz?

Well, as you all know, Floyd Mayweather was victorious against Victor Ortiz last night. It was a very controversial round 4 KO.  Floyd was winning the fight by landing more punches cleanly, mostly right hands. Floyd was real sharp and elusive as usual. Victor did land some left hands and some body shots. However, Floyd made him miss a lot, just as I predicted earlier. Victor Ortiz best moments came when he had Floyd against the ropes. Although, he didn’t connect as much as the crowd thought he did.

NBA May Have to Buy The Hornets

by Rgeezy on 12/08/2010

Chris Paul NBA May Have to Buy The Hornets

The New Orleans Hornets could become the first franchise owned and operated by the NBA because of minority owner Gary Chouest’s reluctance to purchase George Shinn’s majority share. Sources indicated Friday night that Chouest does not think he can devote the needed time to run an NBA franchise and operate his private business. With Chouest’s withdrawing his potential offer to purchase the franchise, the NBA is considering buying Shinn’s share before seeking a buyer or a group of investors willing to keep the team in the Crescent City.

Rumor has it that our team may move to Seattle. I say we should get a group of investors together and buy the Hornets. What y’all think?

Chris Paul Happy With Winning Hornets

by Rgeezy on 11/24/2010

chrispaul Chris Paul Happy With Winning Hornets

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — When word of Chris Paul’s unhappiness spread over the summer and the NBA world wondered if the once-in-a-lifetime New Orleans point guard would force his way out of the Bayou, his relative silence on the matter only helped the mystery gain momentum.

His most memorable statements only increased the intrigue, as the three-time All-Star told ESPN on June 24 that he was “open to being traded” if the Hornets weren’t committed to winning. At the time, Hornets forward David West didn’t know what to believe. So he did what almost every other curious party didn’t have the ability to do: he called the man himself. John Wall Has Arrived

by Rgeezy on 11/24/2010

slam144johnwall John Wall Has Arrived

You may have noticed that one of the best rookies thus far this season has been John Wall down in DC. He’s leading the entire League in steals, he’s fourth in assists (well, he was earlier today), and he’s generally playing about as awesomely as we at SLAM suspected that he would. 1111paul 576x324 Debate: Is Chris Paul the best PG in the NBA?

It doesn’t get better than Paul or Williams at the point in today’s NBA.

The only thing ESPN’s Ric Bucher and Chris Broussard like to do more than report on the NBA is argue about the NBA. So we decided to combine those two skills for Insider’s weekly One-on-One series, in which they’ll debate the hottest topics in the association.

Question: Is Chris Paul or Deron Williams the NBA’s best point guard?
