Continuing his conversation with Global Grind, 50 Cent comments on Lil Wayne’s close to a million Tha Carter IV sales for the first time. He isn’t talking rocket science since a lot of commoners questioned the huge sales keeping in mind the quality of the actual album.
“To be honest with you, the Lil Wayne sales are a little suspect to me. Because it was trending 600,000 pieces that week. And they didn’t do a million copies, it was like 900,000.”
When Global Grind mentioned Tha Carter III which did a milli in the 1st week back in 2008, 50 gave credit to Wayne:
“Tha Carter III was definitely hot. He did that. Tha Carter III commanded that energy, but the last one that just came out, those numbers are funny.”
Hmm….Do y’all agree with 50 Cent?

This is a good look. I’ve been waiting on this album for a minute. I think Juelz needs this album more than Wayne does. What ever happened to the long awaited Juelz album to be released on Def Jam? Juelz and Lil Wayne had great chemistry. Hopefully, they can recapture it for the album. The streets want it.

Close to one million copies of Tha Carter IV sold in its first-week hasn’t made hip-hop’s hardest working MC relax at all. Lil Wayne is already recording his next album. While the next two Carter albums (CV and CVI) and a sequel to Rebirth are definitely coming down the pipeline in the future, Young Money president Mack Maine says Weezy is focused on group efforts right now.
“The next project he’s working on is I Can’t Feel My Face with [Juelz Santana],” Maine told XXLMag.com over the phone. “Elz is talented man. He’s a young legend. [Wayne’s] back working in the studio. He has that and the Young Money album.”

It’s good to see my nigga Noreaga back with Pharell. They make beautiful music like Snoop and Pharell. Besides, Nore put Pharell on in the first place, so it’s only right. I’m feelin’ this track. Noreaga’s new album S.U.P.E.R.T.H.U.G. sounds like a winner so far.

As previously reported, CIV sold 964,000 units in its first week, but according to Baby, he didn’t buy any of those copies.

I took the time to dig up some more instrumentals. Today I am going to celebrate Lil Wayne’s body of work. Hi haters!! Shout out to the #1 Wayne hater @Ja3Mik3_VCrack. Also, The Carter IV is on the brink of selling a milli the first week. You gotta congratulate that accomplishment. Whether you love Wayne or hate him.

Damn. Cole World. Just days before Weezy’s highly anticipated Carter 4 was set to drop, the album found its way online and became available to the world via free download.
Be clear: The Carter 4 is out. Unofficially. And if illegal downloads counted toward moved units, there’s a very good chance its headed toward gold at this very moment.
Speaking of gold status, Watch The Throne recently earned a gold plaque — nearly two weeks after its release. Considering there was no leak up to the night of its release, many expected it would sell alot more, alot sooner.
